The Writer's Workshops held at Little Professor Book Center continue to be a great success, attracting published authors, writers' groups, readers' clubs, and aspiring writers. They are held on the first Monday of each month at Little Professor Book Center in Chesterfield, Virginia. On March 1, 2004, the subject was What Comes First - the Plot or the Characters? p.m.terrell served as instructor and facilitator. The class studied various plotlines and book descriptions, how to speed up or slow down a plot, identifying your target market, deciding on a genre, the study of sub-genres, and determining plots and subplots.

Attendees included Bob Parlier (shown above in the white hat), the founder of the Community Writer's Group, and Robert Ferland (shown at left) who served as an advisor for the character of Tim, in p.m.terrell's suspense/thriller, The China Conspiracy.

The class was divided into genres for workgroup assignments, including science fiction, fantasy, suspense/mystery, popular fiction, children's, and non-fiction. Shown in the center above (in the red and green plaid) is Roland Gill, one of the charter members of the Community Writer's Group.

Among the attendees was Rainey Moon (shown above at far left) who has won international critical acclaim for her debut book, Timeless Souls.

The Writer's Workshops continue to grow in popularity.
Many attendees have already completed their books,
while others are just beginning and still others
are in the middle of the process. The six-month course
is designed to take the writer from the idea conception
to finding an agent or publisher to promoting the book
once it has been published. For more information,
